Legals & Ethics
Here at Great Dane Rescue & Rehoming (NSW) we believe in being above board and transparent, we ensure we meet all local and national guidelines for animal welfare and we ensure that we go above and beyond in relations to our standards and ethics.
Prior to Adoption, new families will be required to sign a Liability Waiver.
Prior to Adoption, new families will be required to complete the Adoption Contract.
Entire Great Danes will only be adopted to carefully screened families on De-sexing Contracts, less than 5% of our Danes ever leave undesexed. Any who are left entire are usually due to health reasons.
When you adopt a Great Dane from our organisation you will be able to access behavioural support from an independent professional Behaviourist associated with our Rescue. Unfortunately this service is not extended to dogs adopted from their own homes (Private Adoptions), however we can provide basic support and assistance and Behaviourist recommendations where required.
Although we do expect new families to allow at least a month for a new dog to settle in, we will take back any of our own dogs with reasonable notice. The Adopter will need to arrange to return the dog to our care and if this involves transport that will be at the Adopters expense.
